Margaritaville Beach Resort and Fins Up! Water Park at THE POINTE received their certificates of occupancy (COs) from the Bahamas Ministry of Public Works on July 7, 2021.

As the Bahamas entered the final phase of opening its economy and border on July 1, 2020, the British Colonial Hilton Nassau Hotel is taking all necessary precautions to be ready to welcome back guests.

THE POINTE project in downtown Nassau, the Bahamas resumed construction on May 4, 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Bahamian government announced that the country is moving to Phase 1b in the reopening the economy, allowing construction to be carried out from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the week under industry protocols.

“Hotel occupancy in the Bahamas in the first half of 2019 was up 19% from a year earlier, according to hotel-data firm STR. Revenue per available room, a popular industry metric, was up 27% to $231.”
