PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Trident Technical College Nursing and Science building serves Charleston, Dorchester and Berkeley counties in South Carolina. The 120,000-square-foot, three-story, steel-frame building includes a parking garage, offices, classrooms, labs, conference rooms and auditoriums to house one of the best nursing schools in South Carolina.

. CCA installed an earthquake drain in lieu of drilled pile system; a glass-rail monumental staircase and fancy wood panels in the lobby and auditorium. The facade features metal wall panels, perforated metal panels, rotunda precast panels and brick. The project was designed to achieve LEED Silver certification. Features included to achieve that goal include a green roof, solar panels for both roof and parking structure and a rainwater tank system.. The scope of work includesd architecture, structure, mechanical, electrical and plumbing and interior fit out, as well as site work.
