PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The City of Hope (Ciudad de Esperanza) is a residential development project located in the Arraijan District of West Panama Province.

The design-build project covers an area of approximately 90 acres, on which a neighborhood of 2,250 residential units, parks, sports venues, office buildings, a commercial district, and a university will be built. The project is anticipated to be completed in September 2018.

This new development sits on a 36-hextare site and consists of the following elements:

• 2250 social housing units (40% 2-bedroom units and 60% 3-bedroom units) arranged in blocks of between 24 and 40 units per block, 5-story high, with basic services of water, drainage, electricity and telephone lines;
• Associated infrastructure including embankments, roads, car parking, improvement of water courses and waste water treatment plant;
• Parks, open spaces and sports fields including site furniture and signage;
• Police station, municipal and ministerial buildings;
• Commercial units;
• University block;
• Serviced lots for schools, churches and government buildings.
