PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The modernization of the Aventura Mall enhanced the functionality of the already existing facility. A six-level parking structure was added, creating 1,572 parking spaces for shoppers, another addition included a transit hub capable of holding up to 9 buses at a time. Along with transit improvements, the food court was demolished and rebuilt with hurricane rated temporary partitions. The project also included expanding the shopping area, adding more stores, a concierge lounge, another food court, and a rooftop garden with seating. To avoid disturbing mall operations, Plaza Construction coordinated the excavation and concrete pour to be conducted at night.
