The project is one of the most important public projects currently supported by the government. The $193 million project contains 59,000 square meters (approximately 635,000 sq ft) of construction area and is expected to generate an annual revenue of $700 million for the country after its grand opening in 2018.
The location of the convention center offers an extraordinary view of the historic Panama Canal and the majestic Panama City skyline. The world-famous Panama-Pacific International Exhibition will be held at the Convention Center once it is completed which will continue driving the robust convention and exhibition industry in Panama.
