CCA South Carolina (CCASC) won the low bid on University of South Carolina Discovery I Upfit Project.
CCA South Carolina (CCASC) won the low bid on University of South Carolina Discovery I Upfit Project. With a contract value of $7.9 million, the project is scheduled to start in January 2013 and complete in October, 2013. The project is designed to include upfit work on five floors and renovations to existing buildings, which total up to 100,000sf.
Located in Downtown Columbia, Discovery I is part of the project called Innovista, a public-private partnership program that aims at nurturing high-tech companies. Discovery I involves finishing two vacant floors to be offices, finishing one floor to be laboratories for research in nuclear science, hydrogen, fuel cells and the aerospace industry, and renovating two floors to be future lab and office areas.
