CCA Won Pulaski Skyway Contract #4

March 25, 2014

On March 25, 2014, CCA Civil won the bid for the New Jersey Department of Transportation project, Pulaski Skyway Contract #4. It is an addition to the Contract #3 project that we won last May. CCA Civil will now be working on both the northbound and southbound lanes of the Pulaski Skyway, a landmark structure in the State of New Jersey. As the apparent low bidder, CCA Civil stood out from the 6 other competitors with a contract value of $209 Million. This is the second project that CCA Civil won in its home state. It is a continuation of our success in the regional infrastructure market.

The Pulaski Skyway has been a vital link between New Jersey and New York City since 1932. It is part of the National Register of Historic Places, so the unique design features need to be preserved. The structure is an elevated steel bridge about 3.5 miles long with two 550 feet long spans crossing the Passaic and Hackensack River. There are two 11-foot lanes in each direction with no shoulders and it carries about 74,000 vehicles daily. This project consists of replacing the existing bridge deck of the southbound lanes on the entire Pulaski Skyway to meet the current safety requirements and demands. CCA Civil is currently preparing to close the northbound lanes for Contract #3 and will be closing the southbound lanes once the northbound side is completed. Once the entire project is completed we will remove the shielding that encompasses the entire 3.5 miles of the Pulaski Skyway.

CCA Civil is eager to continue its work on this signature project in its home state and deliver a safe and high quality project to the public.
