Greenwich West was featured in The New York Times for “exceed[ing] the proportion of women working in construction nationally and locally.”
The spotlight is on Greenwich West’s lead architect Françoise Raynaud, who recently joined the elite group of women who have designed major buildings in New York City. Also celebrated is the vast increase in inclusivity featured in Greenwich West’s workforce. At 25 percent, Greenwich West general contractor Plaza Construction has a high ratio of women builders, far exceeding the national number.
The New York Times also applauded the attention to detail throughout the 30-story condominium project. Highlighted are the “oversized windows, framed by darker, metallic-looking glazed bricks with a touch of Art Deco,” as well as the close attention to detail evident throughout the interiors of each unit.
Located in Hudson Square, an up-and-coming neighborhood on the western edge of Manhattan between Greenwich Village, Soho and Tribeca, Greenwich West will be neighborhood partners with Disney’s new headquarters, as well as multiple media, technology and advertising firms. Occupancy for Greenwich village is currently slated for early 2020.
