October 20, 2012
CCA Baha Mar project participated in the 17th Annual International Cultural Festival in Nassau, The Bahamas.
Co-organized by the Bahamas Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Immigration and the Ministry of Tourism, the annual festival attracted exhibitors from 21 countries and more than 25,000 patrons.
In coordination with the Chinese Embassy to The Bahamas, the Confucius Institute, and local Chinese Community Association, CCA Baha Mar project took the lead in planning, organizing, and rehearsing for the China exhibition in this year’s festival. With more than 50 employees dedicated to the event in their spare time, the project team successfully decorated 7 booths, held 2 shows, and exhibited at 3 booths featuring CCA, Chinese culture and charity sales. |
CCA’s Chinese traditional costume show kicked off the whole festival with “models” walking and dancing in ways to display the various cultures of China’s 56 ethnic groups. Throughout the two-day event, CCA exhibitors provided an opportunity for tourists from the world to play Chinese chess and write their Chinese names with brush. Tourists were also able to learn about the world-class Baha Mar resort project by communicating with CCA executives and employees.
At the end of the festival, CCA donated the income of charity sales to the organizer in support of the festival’s operations and for the good of the culture exchanges between China and The Bahamas.
