The 6.1-acre oceanfront complex, which will cater to a variety of customers, includes hotel rooms and condos, beachfront villas, retail outlets, restaurants, spas and theaters, a marina, a multi-floor garage and an entertainment center. Phase I of the landmark project, including an 800-space parking garage, office space and an entertainment center, officially opened in October 2016.

Phase II of the 7 million-square-foot development is currently under construction. Upon completion, THE POINTE will have a 100-room, eight-story condominium with oceanfront residences, a 150-room branded resort and spa with a business center, a 45-slip marina with Blue Flag eco certification and a yacht club, eight restaurants and bars including a rooftop restaurant and over-the-water bar and restaurant, a total of 24,000 square feet of retail space including upscale shopping venues, as well as entertainment facilities including a movie theater.

The project is expected to create 250 jobs during construction and 500 jobs after it opens to the public. It also is expected to contribute approximately $750 million to Bahamian GDP over 20 years.
